Tahmina Ahmed
Graduate Counseling Intern
My name is Tahmina Ahmed and I am a counseling intern from George Washington University. As a counselor, I strongly believe in fostering a caring, safe space for clients where they feel heard and supported. I draw from person-centered and narrative approaches to understand a client’s story and how we can work together towards their hopes and goals.
I have experience in supporting individuals with a variety of challenges such as stressful life transitions, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief or chronic pain. I work with clients of all age-groups including children 8+, teens and adults.
I know therapy can sometimes feel intimidating and sometimes there are many barriers to care - my goals are to meet you where you are, provide holistic, culturally-centered care and support you in your journey.
